Memorial Day Weekend

On Sunday we took a little jaunt and met Jason's parents at The Beef House for dinner. It was SUPER good and fun to get out and about. The kids loved it....especially when, as we were leaving, a helicopter landed in the grassy field right next to the parking lot! Both kids were ecstatic!

This one may need some explanation...the sun was in Kaden's eyes, so here he's holding his eyes open for the photo!

As you may or may not have noticed, I had a ball dressing the kids in red, white, and blue stars and stripes in honor of Memorial Day. Both had totally fun themed outfits that were handed down to them!

Bath Tub Buddies

I'm not sure these pictures need any words... These two have been bathing together since they were young. Neither of them would have it ANY OTHER WAY. Kaden will even choose to take another bath, even if he's clean, just to splash around with Marin. They recently discovered laying down as a means to rinse out their shampoo. Oh that these days of simple, "clean" fun could last forever!

Mother's Day 2010

We were all set to have a VERY productive Mother's Day weekend. I wrote out a wish list of things I wanted to get done, we had little else planned for the weekend, we were set to go. Well, Saturday was COLD. Not just a little chilly, it was actually COLD outside. I think it may have reached 50 later in the day, but needless to say, we did not get done what we had hoped to do on Saturday.

Thank goodness for Sunday. The sun was out, the weather warmer, and even with fewer hours to be productive, we got a ton done! Here's what we did (and by we, yes, I mean the entire family, although I'm not sure much of what either child did could be considered "helping"):

Flag hung by the front door and planted large pot of flowers(OK, so it's not really large enough for you to notice it in this picture, but it is there...right side, green pot)

Hanging basket and Shepard's hook "installed"

Flowers planted around the front tree

Vegetable garden plotted and planted! Yea! I can't wait to start seeing those little seedlings sprout up!

We also had a yummy steak dinner. Thanks Jas for making this a fun day for me!

Marin 17 Months

Yep, it's true...my baby girl will soon be one and a half! I can't believe it!!! At the same time as I watch all she's learning and seeing her grow, I can believe it. Every day she's getting to be more of a toddler and less of "baby". Sad, yes. Exciting, absolutely.

Next on her list of things to accomplish: Pacifier Detox Week. YIKES!
